One of our favorite Scriptures here at Bursting Barns is Isaiah 60. One theme in this chapter is to GATHER TOGETHER. God made it clear early on that Bursting Barns was to be a place of prayer. Every time we gather on the Prayer Porch, we commit to pray for the sent ones we know and love, by name and with faithful expectation. Others we commit to pray for are prodigals in our lives...those who have never known Jesus and those who have walked away for a season. And, of course, we will always pray for anyone in need of any kind of healing - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
We recently had the honor of hosting our first Prayer on the Porch gathering, and hope to do many more of these events. We called this one "Porch Prayer & Football Fellowship", since after prayer time, we enjoyed yummy food while college football games were on! What a beautiful time of pressing into the heart of God to how He wanted us to pray for each person, then coming into agreement with what He showed us. His presence was tangible and when the last Amen was said, we all knew He had heard our prayers and was moving on our behalf. Our porch is certainly an anointed place. Watch for more opportunities to gather here, or if you just need a little time to get away to pray, you are welcome to come by even if there's no official gathering scheduled. Just message us to make sure someone is here to let you in. Even Jesus would go away to pray...
